Let’s break down some words into their individual parts with our rhythmic, ‘Say-it, Clap-it, Show-it!’ game! Students will read common words on the screen, clap the words into their individual parts/syllables, and then count (and show with their fingers!) how many syllables each word has. A great introduction to the six syllable types, your students will have fun learning while building phonological awareness.
Get your clappers out! Did you know that every word is made of one or more syllables? Engaging students at an early age with syllable practice will help students access high-level text in their older years. Let’s have fun breaking up words into their syllables through this multisensory video lesson! Teachers and parents, feel free to follow along!
